Having a qualified first aider in the office isn’t just a legal requirement. Employees also find it highly reassuring to work in a place where medical emergencies can be dealt with promptly and efficiently.
This course is designed for people who need to provide first aid when someone is injured or becomes ill while at work. As well as being trained to respond to specific injuries and illnesses, you will also learn about assessing and monitoring a casualty, accident recording and reporting, and controlling substances that are hazardous to health.
Understanding the importance of first aid knowledge in a workplace setting, and recognizing the legal requirements and responsibilities associated with providing first aid.
Demonstrating proficiency in performing basic life support (BLS) techniques and effectively using automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
Acquiring knowledge and skills to manage common medical emergencies encountered in healthcare & workplace settings.
Demonstrating competence in assessing and managing different types of wounds.
Identifying the classification of burns and effectively assessing and providing appropriate first aid measures.
Understanding how to recognize and immobilize fractures.
Developing the ability to safely use and handle medical equipment and devices.
Understanding the importance of accurate incident reporting and proper documentation of first aid interventions.
Enhancing communication and teamwork skills during emergencies.
