Suction & Nebuliser Training
Participants will explore respiratory anatomy and physiology, the proper operation and maintenance of equipment, infection control measures, and the assessment of respiratory conditions. The course emphasises the appropriate use of suction and nebulisation to manage airway clearance, deliver medications, and optimise respiratory function.
Additionally, it addresses the identification of indications and contraindications, the management of complications, and effective patient education to support safe and informed therapy use.

Understand the specific needs for High and low concentration oxygen.
Learn the Oral Suction and Nebuliser equipment used.
Understand Nebulisers and their efficacy as well as the use and risks of the drugs involved.

Understand the procedures involved in Oral Suctioning.
Learn to differentiate between types of secretion.
Understand the procedures involved in suctioning; patient positioning, gaining consent, potential risks etc.
Learn the ethical and legal responsibilities.
